Since her parents had bought the Drimnin estate a few years earlier, this location was an obvious choice. Drimnin was also the originally planned name for the distillery. Ultimately, though, Mal settled on the name Nc'Nean, which is an abbreviation of Neachneohain, a spirit queen of Gaelic legend. Nc'Nean Organic matured
