It is modelled on an earlier 18th century Polynesian style dress and is made from a very fine cotton in a sweet floral design of pinks and blues representing the flowers of the French nobility

1960s Lang Originals Black and Red Lace and Plaid Print Dress British_vintage This late 1920s or earlyA beautiful vintage evening dress that can be exactly dated to 1962 by the label Lang originals, which was a brand of the American fashion house Jean Lang and founded in 1916. The dress is a lovely quality black and red plaid pattern in either real or manmade silk as the underlay fabric. The dress has then been overlaid with a black floral lace. Around the armholes there is a tiny rose patterned lace trim which is also present along the shallow scoop
