The style produced here is a lighter distillate than most single malts, with a triple distillation instead of the usual two. This is the norm in Ireland, but rarely seen in Scotland (Springbank's unpeated Hazelburn malt being another rare example). The Three Wood moniker refers to the casks used in maturation: Bourbon, Oloroso
