the front of the coffer with four deeply carved panels and an engraved brass escutcheon/lock plate above and the carved initials "C M"
atop the elephant is her driver seated on a lion's pelt with the driver's ankus (a tool with a long handle & sharp metal point used by a Mahout to direct the elephant) resting on the lion's head
Both ends of the cabinet are carved with a crest and flanked by a pair of mythical beasts

This two section chest having wonderful proportions: the upper case has a closed bonnet top and arched molded pediment, with a carved pin wheel rosette and three caved & gilded finials. The top fitted with a deep central drawer with fan shaped carving and is flanked with two short drawers, there are four graduated drawers below. The base
