It has 4 all aluminum sections, each roughly 3 feet long, that telescope into each other. Avery's twist lock system makes adjusting each section length very quick and efficient. It has a large stainless steel hook at the end, two grips (one at the end and one about a foot up from it), and even comes with a wrist strap to keep it from falling into deep water.
