(Reissue) tbr2507 later picked up by ThrillLP 180g Vinyl Reissue Mastered from the original master tapes Cornetist Don Cherry first rose to prominence as part of the revolutionary Ornette Coleman Quartet that turned the jazz world on its ear in 1959 when it arrived at the Five Spot Caf in NYC. Though Cherry co led the album The Avant Garde with John Coltrane in 1961, it wasnt until he signed with Blue Note in 1965 that he began his career as a leader with a run of fiery albums including
