After deciding college was not for him, he decided to go on tour, playing lead guitar and singing vocals in a band performing for nearly two decades in venues from Canada to Mexico. When he would return home between tours, he apprenticed under renowned jeweler, Jimmie Harrison. Inspired by Harrison, he developed his own inlay style,
